For all of you moms with sports-minded kids, here’s a way to make their reading
more enjoyable… well, we can hope.

Right click and save to your computer. Personalize if you wish, using any print program. Print on adhesive-backed paper or 2×4? labels. Peel and stick to the inside cover of your favorite books. You can also print on plain paper, cut out, and glue to the inside of book.

I made these name badges for a class party a few years ago. You can personalize them before or after printing. Print on name badge paper, or on sticker paper. Click for a larger view before saving.

If you have a class party coming up, try these cute little treat bags. (They match the turkey bookmark.) Just print, cut out, fold on the lines, and tape or glue the tabs. And fill with treats, of course. (Click for a larger view before saving).

And of course, Thanksgiving isn’t complete without Turkey Tic Tac Toe!?? Keep ‘em busy while the turkey is cooking:)

Wow, I can’t believe Thanksgiving is almost here! I found these candy wrappers in my files that I made for classroom favors a few years ago. I left the back blank so you can personalize them before printing. Just cut them out and wrap around kitkat bars.

Candy Bouquets for Karate Birthday Party and Teacher Gifts

My last post on the bubble gum bouquet sent me searching for photos of candy bouquets that I made a few years ago. Just wanted to show you that you can customize them for any occassion.

First up is a sucker bouquet, made for a first grade teacher. The flowers were printed on the computer, laminated, and cut out. I cut out the faces from photos, using a circle cutter, and glued them to the flowers. Hiding behind each flower is a sucker. I used a recycled small coffee can for the base.

Second up is a candy bouquet that I made for my sons’ karate instructors. It was part of their birthday karate party when they were 7 years old. (That’s a whole ‘nother post full of birthday ideas… will get to that later).

The base is a recycled can wrapped in white fabric and tied with a black felt belt. The candy consists of mini hershey bars wrapped in karate themed wrappers, as well as some suckers with karate clip art in front. Green cellophane is sprinkled in for color.

Step 1 : Lay on floor, arms outstretched, wearing a red cape (made from mom’s $20 a yard red stretch velvet fabric, cut out when she wasn’t looking).

Step 2: Get Dad to hold up the ends of the cape.

Step 3: Ask Mom to snap a picture.

Step 4: Ask Mom to remove the background, using Paint Shop Pro or another graphic editing program.

Step 5:Add a sky background, frame, and hang in a prominent place. Brag about your flying skills to everyone who sees it!
